You know it’s summer when…

Fresh Prince and DJ Jazzy Jeff finally hit the airwaves with “Summertime”.  I’ve got it in the pod year round but it never gets the proper love until now.  The time when going north to the Maine coast becomes a regular occasion for our Cantabrigian crew.

But summer just got even hotter with the move of YoYoYo 90′s Jam to Middlesex Lounge on Tuesday, July 15th.

This fantastic night of music is put on by Soul Clap, a new crew for this here Philly to Boston transplant.  These guys also put on the Dancing on the Charles, a new summertime happening on various Saturday nights at the Marsh Post near the Harvard University section of the Charles River.  I have yet to get over to their river bashes but if I wasn’t heading north to act like the Gatsby’s with my friends on the coast near kennebunkport, this is where I would be so if you’re cool and hanging in the city this weekend, this is the spot to be on Saturday night.  Check out pics from previous nights HERE and HERE.  Eltye and Cnyce, the two DIY DJ’s behind Soul Clap, also have a new website up that steers you to all things S-Clap.  Make sure to visit their blog for tons and tons of awesome mixes from both local and other worldly Deejays.
